Journaling for Mental Clarity

If your thoughts feel heavy and you can't seem to stop the chatter in your mind, pick up a pen and a notebook and start writing it down. I've realized that the distressing thoughts I sometimes have are just different versions of e trying to be heard, and journaling has always helped me give a voice to the noise in my head. Whether I'm anxious or scared or too worked up or overstimulated, setting those thoughts down in writing helps me take the abstract and ambiguous and plant it firmly in reality, in the form of ink and letters on a page.

So, if you struggle with the same noise and the thoughts seem too numerous to combat, set it to writing. And I don't mean typing it out. I do mean putting pen to page and letting the energy transfer out that way. Journaling is probably the biggest tip I have to renewing connection to yourself and regaining trust in your ability to sort through a problem.
