Prayer for a Lonely Heart

Father,

You know the loneliness I have suffered throughout my life.

Without anyone to care for me, I've learned that I myself am not worth caring for.

But God, you made me.

And you made me to be loved and cared for,

As much as you made me to love and care for others.

Therefore, Lord, please help me to see in my own hunger for love,

The opportunity to love.

Please satisfy my hunger for love,

Which I know is a hunger for You.

Loving Father,

Love me.

Hold me.

Heal me.

Free me.

Give me courage to love despite my own loneliness.

Thank you Lord for everything in my life.

I owe all to you.
