Relationships

×´Alone, man does not completely realize this essence [of being a person]. He realizes it only by existing 'with someone' -and even more deeply and completely- by existing 'for someone'.×´
- St. Pope John Paul II, Theology of the Body January 9, 1980
The very ideal of relationship belongs entirely to the Creator. God exists as a relationship in the Holy Trinity -the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. His entire nature is relationship. The human need for relationship is, in fact, an expression of the divine.

God has set the model for all the facets of healthy relationship: love, trust, grace, reconciliation -and yes, even boundaries. The fact is, the more time we spend with God, the more he can truly shape how we show up in relationships.
“The Christian family is a communion of persons, a sign and image of the communion of the Father and the Son in the Holy Spirit.”
- Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2205

Family Relationships
The family is where relationships are formed and developed, and it is a beautiful reminder of the Trinity itself. A strong and healthy family unit can be excellent source of community, joy, and fulfillment. It can also be the best defense against loneliness and and depression.
